CVS gets down to business with new Lottery grant
We are delighted to let you know that The National Lottery Community Fund has recently awarded us a four year grant – to support our core services to the local voluntary sector, and to help us explore new income generation initiatives.
This will enable us to continue to provide our support services in West Lancs including information and funding advice service, networking opportunities, volunteering support, grants distribution, and representation. It will also help us explore opportunities to generate income from member-led partnership working and the provision of business services.
CVS Chair Vic Citarella said,
‘This is great news for CVS and for the local sector as a whole. Impressed with our work over the last two years to rebuild firm foundations in the organisation, the lottery’s further investment is a reflection of its commitment to supporting groups in West Lancs.
We look forward to developing and expanding our support to member groups and building collaborative partnerships to help th
e sector grow and flourish’.
To head up this new phase, we will be expanding our team to incorporate new roles to strengthen the CVS team and develop business support services. Watch this space for full details of the vacancies – coming soon!
