Cropper Gardens Residents Group Receives £300 from Help Direct’s ‘Small Sparks’ Fund
Cropper Gardens Residents Group was set up by Ronnie Green in the spring of 2009 when she and her husband moved from Skelmersdale in to the sheltered housing at Hesketh Bank. She set up a committee and did a survey of the local residents and then began to run weekly bingo sessions, Lancashire College Courses and a luncheon club in response to this. They needed funding to buy microwave, CD player and cutlery for the group and applied to ‘Help Direct’ for £300 to enable them to buy this. In January 2010 they heard that they had been successful with their bid.
